This course introduces you to chilled-water cooling equipment and cooling towers, as used in large-scale refrigeration and cooling systems

In this course, you will learn the principles of thermodynamics as they relate to refrigeration and cooling systems. The course provides a foundation in best safety practices for working with equipment, then covers both scientific and practical aspects of maintaining cooling systems.

This course prepares you to take the EPA's Type I, II, III, and Universal certification exams for working with CFC refrigerants. Since 1994, EPA-approved ("Section 608") certification has been required for servicing air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
